Kate has a thing for cold fried chicken. Not that cold fried chicken is bad, but it's the last food I would think to bring to a fest.

I don't have a thing for cold fried chicken. I have a thing for fried chicken in general. Fried chicken is the BEST food to have at a festival for various reasons:

1. It's already cooked. Nothing to prepare, just grab it out of the cooler.
2. You can eat it when it's hot or cold.
3. You can eat it quickly.
4. No clean up, except for your fingers.
5. It's cheap.
6. It's delicious - duh.

For Blackwater the priority things to bring:
Tent / Hammock - you might find it easier to sleep in a hammock after the sun comes up.
Fan for tent
Hat
Sunscreen
towel and bathing suit for the river

For BearCreek the priority things to bring:
Tent
Blankets and sleeping bag
Warm clothes
burlesque porno clowne or hunter s. fear and loathing in bear creek costume.

First time heading to bear creek this year and have a question about the camping. Do you park where you camp? and if so are you blocked so you can't leave? Im asking because I'm leaving my son with my parents and just want to make sure I will be able to get out if i needed to. thanks for any help Wink

Yes, you park next to your camp. They don't park you in rows or anything like that. They just point you in the direction of the camping area and you pick a spot to set up. I would just park near a road and keep an eye on the other people that set up around you so they don't block you in.
