We are thinking of coming down for Thursday only. Can we contact Suawanee to reserve a primitive site? Trying to take a two day tour with Soundtribe. Without kids!! Plus it's my sons birthday on Wednesday. This is too much information.
Thanks for any help!! |

The good news about primitive sites is that you don't need to reserve one. The only thing that needs to be reserved and payed for are the upgraded sites that have electric and water. So you can camp where ever you want in the primitive areas of the park.
The not so good news is that camping not offered for people that want only a day pass. Day passes get a different color wristband that is not allowed into the camping areas and they will want to park your car in a different location than everyone else too. |

Thanks for the info Evenstar. That kind of puts a damper on things.
Are there other camp grounds around the close vicinity? My wife and I need a vacation without the kids. Even for one day!
Is it November yet? |

| You will, however, be able to "camp" in/at your car in the day parking lot. You won't be able to bring it into the campgrounds. |

Thanks Paul!!! That just might do the trick.
We were talking about leaving the site, driving as much as we could and then crashing in the truck!
If/when we come in August we will be driving from central North Carolina. We love this place so much!! |

Been to Bear Creek last year and JC for the last 4. I will definitely be back for Bear Creek in November and hopefully I will find a way to make the boat again as well, but that is up in the air for now.
Any chance you got wet at the Mule show last night? Boy, what a down pour! |

@ Reggaeboyz did not make it out. Two kids mean we have to plan very carefully. Super excited for Tribe in August though!
Last year was our first Bear Creek and we are looking forward to the second! |
