I saw Monster Magnet about 10 years ago, and it was one of the worst shows I've ever seen.

I've never seen them live, but definitely have a few albums in my collection. That said, this is one of the strangest BC requests I've seen yet

I would really be down with the Digable Planets! That would surely bring me back to my roots!

Digable Planets are not touring anymore. They were supposed to play in Chapel Hill last year and a week or so before the show Ladybug Mecca left the band and the show was canceled.

I fully support the Breakestra.

In terms of Hip Hop I would argue for:

The Roots - no better live Hip Hop out there, period!
Lyrics Born - would be really, really cool if he came with the Poets of Rhythm
Chali 2na - could perform with Breakestra
De La Soul - I heard they toured with a band last year? The show I saw was just the three of them, and it was so so. But I saw them before and really dug it.

Ugly Duckling - those guys are funny and bring a good live show
Abstract Rude & Tribe Unique - also one of the better live acts
US3 - never seen them live, but they would be awesome!

I vote against the Beatnuts - dig their albums but saw them live a year ago and left after about 45 minutes because I really could not take it anymore. Horrible sound, pretty much all they did was crowd control stuff. Micheal Franti times 10.

the tent was a long walk, very hot (maybe you can open another door on the opposite side of the entrance so it ventilates better...)
