I mean we need Anders at Bear Creek this year. Just got back from JazzFest and his performances were outstanding!!!!!!!

I'll second that! I'd heard that he's been doing outstanding work since he got his act together and grew that beard (one newspaper article described it as enough to hide a family of hobbits). Caught him 3 times last week; sat in with Galactic at Instruments a Comin', a bluesy set with John Sansome and John Fohl at the Threadhead Patry the next night, and finally with the Stanton Moore Trio at the Megalomaniac Ball. And I stepped into the Louisiana Music Factory to catch an instore by Paul Cebar and was told by my gf that I almost knocked Anders down as he was leaving (didn't even see him).
Picked up the new disc at LMF and it's great! Only on my 2nd disc (Trombone Shorty) from the stack of 10 I bought in NOLA.
eta: didn't realize until after posting that the Howlin' Wolf video is from the Megalomaniac Ball. Thanks! |

| i saw him monday between at the blue nile, it was my first time and i was impressed as well. some songs were a little too poppy for my taste, but most of them had a great groove and he sure knows how to play the guitar as well. |

| I am a fan since he played often at Skippers, Tampa FL, then a few times, Ybor. I have 2 cds of around mid-90s -- too lazy to pull out the cds to confirm the dates. |
