Welcome to the board, justinf!! I just re-read that list and realized that it's kinda scary! For everyone of us that forgets something (tent poles! Wink), there's someone else who brings extra of something and we're pretty good at sharing. We won't name names, but only a few of us bite hard enough to leave a mark Very Happy!! Bring yer party pants and a smiling face Very Happy !!

Leave all of your warm weather clothes at home for Blackwater, but like cnels3 suggested, bring bugspray and also sunscreen!

Bob, can we make this a "sticky" as more people are going to be checking out what to bring as d-day approaches?

also, it needs mentioned that the spirit of the suwannee park is extremely family friendly! this is not like bonnaroo or other fests, the local authorities do not tolerate non-sense....be smart and enjoy the most beautiful music venue on the eastern half of the united states

That list does freak me out a bit...but only because we're flying in. We'll pack our tent, thermarest, sleeping bags and clothes. Not sure how to get the rest of the camp gear there. We're gonna be slimmed down, I imagine purchasing chairs, cooler, lantern?.....at the Walmart. How much food is available? Should we pack a stove?
Looking forward to it already!!

For Blackwater:

Double the amount of water you'd usually bring to a festival.

Just a thought I had when contemplating what I would make sure to do at a festival in Florida during August

no worries girl, I flew in last year. Anything you must have and can't bring on the plane can be bought at Walmart, or better yet post what you need to borrow - most likely someone will be able to bring an extra one for you Smile

There are plenty of food vendors - and they have a restaurant in the park that serves a breakfast buffet too!

Bear Creek is the greatest thing since Jam Cruise Smile

BRING A GOOD BATTERY POWERED FAN FOR YOUR TENT. IT IS BEASTLY HOT!

There is a Wal Mart close by to grab beer, cooler, chairs, etc. for camp.

maugie10, are you coming in for Bear Creek or Blackwater? Either way, you are JamCruise family. When you visit my back yard I'll do everything I can to help you out. Things like coolers, tents, extra blankets, air matresses....... I have extra. I'll be in a pop up and don't use a lot of my camping gear. You are more then welcome to whatever you need. Just hit me up to reserve the stuff and I'll bring it with me.

Bob

I love the "beer, beer, food, fried chicken..." part of Kate's list. Very Happy Laughing Are those the four fest food groups?
